WRITING IN THE SAND.

One beach.
And another.
This one is seven miles long.
And this one has a lovely Fish and Chip shop near by.
This is a busy one.
Now it's jam packed.

Has anyone seen Ben?
Who's happy she's on a deserted beach?
That'll be us all smug.
Rock climbing Claire.
 ... and a 'roo!

WHAT DO YOU FANCY DOING THIS WEEKEND?

It was Wednesday morning when we realised that this weekend was Australia Day weekend.
"We've got Monday off" I said. "Lets go away!". So after a few days of trying to find somewhere to stay - without any joy - we agreed to just jump in the Hertz hire car (that we got upgraded for free to a Toyota Prius - I don't normally care about cars but a hybrid car was quite a novelty) and decided to head south.
Who knows if we'll be sleeping in the car tonight.

Half way there.
Smug Akers.
Smile.
Fancy a swim?
Miss Wilkinson hiding in the undergrowth.
After 3 & 1/2 Hours we arrived in Huskinson (we took a little detour through a National Park) This was worth the drive.
Wilkinson hiding again. Can you see her?

Can't get the Air Max wet.

THEY WERE GOOD, BUT NOT GREAT.

The Arctic Monkeys were good, but it wasn't as good as Brixton. It was still up there as a good gig, but with 5 new songs and a crowd who didn't know many of the other tunes (some bloke was texting while they played 'I bet you look good on the dancefloor') it wasn't the groundbreaker in South London. Maybe because they aren't young and don't need the money, they can't be as bothered.
Oh well.

TONIGHT.

FANCY SOME FRESH AIR?

So we were both worse for ware. it was 5pm and we hadn't really done anything. So we took a little stroll towards Rose  Bay.

3 minutes form the apartment.
I've always wanted longer legs.
Our new mate.

We look like we're in the water.
Smiling Claire.

Gotta get a plane/boat thingy.

Another mate.

Him and his lady.

Our walk back.

A nice bit of fresh air.

A BIRTHDAY EVENING.

So with our new found Sydney friends (and the famous Emma Pitty)  we hit the streets for young Claire's Birthday.

Before.

After.

At about 1am I rang Liz and then Wizz. Who both commented on how drunk I was.
Miss Wilkinson of course wasn't n the slightest.

BIRTHDAY CLAIRE

Yes I'm sorry it's a week late, but young Miss Wilkinson had her 31st Birthday last Thursday. I'll let her tell you if she enjoyed herself or not, but she told me she did.

For the actual night we just went to a lovely little restaurant called Pink Salt in Double bay - a 10 minute walk for the apartment. Hopefully we'll go there with some of you when/if you come out. Apparently the owners are some sort of Celebrity Chef's it seemed nice enough to us.

And on our way back we saw this little fellow. Our first wild Possom.

WE'RE GOING TO THE ZOO, ZOO ZOO.

You looking at me?
Purrrrrrrr.
Does my bum look big in these?
Ben in the morning.
They never forget, you know.
Oy, what you looking at?
This was not actually a resident, it was just
roaming round near a cafe. (It really was!).
Skippy!
Attitude.
These were my favourite. So cuddly!
Note the natural habitat??
Carry me mummy.
Do not bang the glass, this animal is ferocious
when hungry.

Windswept.
