SHOOTING THE RESERVES.

So I wrote "The Reserves" - a comedy about an English backpacker
who comes to Sydney and joins a football team - well over a  year ago.
It's been changed and re-written, Edited and re-written, re-written
& re-written& re-written.
And  Claire is just bored. Hahahahaha. So she said why don't you
just make it? No one will buy it off the pages. Just make it.
So I did. With help from Alex Hay, Leigh Richards and of course
my lovely (and amazingly supportive) wife - we got the cast and
crew together to shoot a 7 minute trailer.
This is what happened.
The board. Gulp.
Leigh and I going through the script.
Setting out the kit.
Which bit is it again.
First positions.
Paul ready for Gumbo.
Lining up the shot.
Is it working?
Christiaan going through his lines.
Over the shoulder(s).
Ammie looking cool as Gina.
The ball that causes the trouble.
Me, Riley and Alex - top shirt.
Whoever hit that.....
The crowds gather. (Including Claire & Isabella).
Jamie's still on the floor.
The lads line up.
And the ball comes in. Bosh.
And now off to the youth hostel.
Just when Isabella turns up to take a peak.
Leigh and I waiting for another shot.
And after it all. A beaten up Jamie ("Luke").
Christiaan ("Damo') escaped.
Paul as "Gumbo"
And Kelv is still playing "Tommy" and on his bloody phone.
